Call Creative Solutions (301/984-0262) and ask for information on their
Hurdler SCSI External Quad Serial (SEQS) interface.  This is a SCSI device
with four Mini-DIN 8 serial ports.  They include Macintosh drivers, but it
should be possible to write IIGS drivers for it since it IS a SCSI device.
 It costs about $500 and includes dual on-board 68008 microprocessors and
buffering circuitry.  The box itself does flow control so the host doesn't
have to.

Why re-invent the wheel?
