It may be. I emailed there asking for assistance, and got no reply.
Must be too busy being high-powered Fidonet executives.
Anyway, I got this in the mail. It may help. If not, I can check some of
the
other UUCP gates. At least this is close. And it has an internet address.

Here's part of the bulletin relating to fidonet, hope it gives you enough
info. If not, try emailing root@kcbbs.gen.nz.
Fidonet on KC
Kappa Crucis has a fully functioning Fidonet echomail and netmail
interface. Just over 400 fidonet newsgroups (echomail areas to use the
fidonet terminology) are provided on KC. The display and command interface
is similar to the usenet news and local messages within the bbs. No
separate Fidonet newsreader is available from the command shell.
The current list of fidonet newsgroups available on KC can be seen in the
/usr/local/lib/fnews/active file. This list changes on an irregular basis
as old newsgroups are removed and new one added.
There are two names associated with each fidonet newsgroup. The first is
how it is stored on KCbbs in the fidonet news directory /var/spool/fnews
The second upper case name is the Fidonet name of the newsgroup and this
name is used throughout the fidonet network.
So for example the newsgroup AUST_MODEM will be stored on KC in
/var/spool/fnews/aus/comp/modem directory. The two ten digit numbers after
the names are the last and first message numbers of messages stored in the
named directory. The single letter at the end of each line means y=posting
allowed,r=restricted to bbs sysops,x=deleted, m=moderated
<<< long list of fido groups removed >>>
Fidonet Sponsors
A variety of different people and organisations pay to bring fidonet into
New Zealand. Amongst these sponsors there are IBM New Zealand and IDG
Communications Ltd, the publishers of PC World magazine.
KC's fidonet node number
is 3:772/90 where 3=Zone 3 (Australia and NZ), 772=Network 772 (north half
of North Island), 90=node 90 which is KCbbs.
