I understand that the 100 Meg controller would work with any 100 Meg
IDE disk, but that the 40- and 20-Meg controllers would only work
with certain drives (of the appropriate size). I don't recall which
ones they were, and I don't know if this restriction was only for
the original Vulcan ROMS or for the Vulcan Gold ROMS as well.
If you buy a replacement IDE drive and the Vulcan card won't work,
check out the Turbo IDE board. It will apparently work with any
model/brand/size of IDE disk.
