..in re your question about the 14.4 modem and your ][GS, you likely
need the special hardware handshaking cable as described in the
ProTerm manual...it's available from Alltech in San Diego area...
you might want to contact InTrec Software since they make these
vcables, too...I bought one from a private party who posted a
note in the marketplace newsnet area, but last I heard he was
out of them...the one advertised by Quality
Computers is _not_ the hardware handshaking cable you're
looking for....
