Re: Apple ][gs VGA Card

Unless you use overscan that you can get 640x400 on a GS monitor. It has
been done.

What's so bad about this? This would be much more versatile than most 256
color displays.

: Or what? Again I am confused.
Maybe just shrinked in a corner of the screen. There doesn't seem to me
any way that existing software can take advantage of SS unless the tools
are patched so. I think either we get a shrinked desktop in a tiny corner
of the screen :), or everything the display is the same. Sorta like using
a VOC without using any VOC software to set transparency and such.
: I am a little disappointed at the screen shots. Don't get me wrong. The image

: software? I think the key to the success of this card is THE software. Tell
: us what it can do! Why can people get for $180 besides viewing beautiful GIFs
: or playing with discQuest?
Well, then write a Mandelbrot GS for SS and people will have more. :)
: btw, so discQuest support Second Sight to the fullest?
Well since it's from the same people, it's not out of the question.
