Ahah! One of my favorite Apple II packages. We've got the Master Module, Speed
and Motion, and the Earthquake Lab. I don't have the manuals here in front of
me, but if'n I recall right ports A & B correspond to push buttons 0 & 1 and
C & D correspond to paddles 0 & 1. I might have these backwards. The probes
originally built for it include the light probe and a temperature sensor. ANY
resistive device that operates in the 0-150 kOhm range can be used on the
interface box. You can make your own probes using parts from RadioShack. We
use speaker wires for the probe leads, and they have several photo-resistors
and thermistors for light and temperature sensors, respectively.
I've been threatening to write a software package designed to aquire data
from the Apple II's game port for quite a while now. Maybe I'll bump it up
the to-do list.
