PC Transporter File Info

Does anyone out there know how/where in the various PC Transporter-related
 files a ProDOS file used as the host for a PCT hard drive is tagged as
either 'pre-allocated' or 'not pre-allocated'?  (If you've ever gone
through the drill in creating such a file, you'll know  what the terms
mean.)

If there's a specific byte or bytes in a config. file or in a directory or
file entry that causes the HD 'host file' to be pre-allocated or not,
please E-Mail me the info.  (I'm fighting a problem that I think is caused
by the pre-allocation ruse.)
