I have recently come asross a printer - Laser 192A. It appears to be a
standard parallel interface computer. Can I use it with my IIGS? If so, what
hardware will I need for the connection? Does it emulate a standard printer
interface in AppleWorks 3.0 ?
I also have a chance to purchase a brand new STAR printer. It has a cord
for a Commodore Serial interface only. Can this printer be easily adapted to an
IBM or Apple II? Again, what hardware?
I currently own 2 IIGS's and a IIc. I use a 4 MEG IIgS with a 40 Meg HD for
my business. Iuse Appleworks and Reportwriter to customize invoices and payroll
posting. Thia machine is in constant use 12 hours a day, 6 days a week and I
have yet to find a more flexible and simple system for my small business. I'd
like to add asecond printer and be able to switch back and forth so I can use
pin feed checks and create a macro to allow it to write my checks and post to
my spreadsheets. I do this now with my payroll spreadsheet since I pay in casha
and only need to generate a pay stub for my employees.
Please post or E-mail.
