I've been doing signal quality testing on SRAM for IBM here in Charlotte,
so for once, I can almost consider my self an authority on the topic :)

I'd look at IDT (Integrated Device Technology) and Samsung, but avoid 
Alliance... I have some Mosel, Paradigm, and Winbond chips to test too,
but I havent' looked at them yet...

note that I test the small packages, so the wide sram may be totally 
differenct, but you can always modify the card to use thin sram.
