I use a tweaked version of Jim Brain's tcpser utility running on a Win2k3 
server machine.  It's connected to the IIe via a null modem cable.

I tweaked tcpser to issue the WILLDO ECHO telnet negotiation sequence to 
prevent the telnet client from doing its own echoing.  It was causing all
sorts of pprroobblleemmss for people that didn't know how to manually turn
of echo in their client. :)
