Latest GS+ Magazine is on the way!
Attention GS+ Magazine Subscribers:
The Latest Issue Of GS+ Magazine Is On The Way!
I'm happy to announce that as of today, 9/7/94,
all copies of the latest issue of GS+ Magazine
(September-October 1994) have been mailed and are on their
way to you!
In this latest issue, you will find reviews of the DiscQuest
Encyclopedia and Quick Click Calc, as well as a new installment
in our "Working With the Toolbox" series. Also inside, you'll
find an article on how to use your IIGS to spice up your
Halloween festivities, a KansasFest report, a discussion of
the various graphic modes and file formats used on the IIGS and
a special article telling you how to get started with both Delphi
and GEnie. (Very important now that America Online has abandoned
all us IIGS owners!)
We've also got three brand new programs and two program updates.
The first new program is a Finder extension called Find Original
that lets you easily find the original file that an alias points to.
The second and third new programs are called Scrapie and Table
Scraps. Table Scraps is a new desk accessory scrapbook program
that lets you keep your favorite and most often used scraps in one
convienient location.
What's that you say? You already have a scrapbook program? Well,
throw it away, because it probably can't take advantage of Scrapie
the way Table Scraps can! What's Scrapie you ask? Scrapie is a
permanent init that works behind the scenes to allow Table Scraps
(and the system Clipboard!) to display scrap types that other
scrapbooks just can't handle. With Scrapie installed, Table
Scraps can display the standard text, picture and sound scraps,
plus, it can also display cursor, icon, resource reference and
styled text scraps!
As if those weren't enough, this issue of GS+ Magazine also has
an update to our very popular "What To Do" NDA. This update supports
cut & paste of To Do list items and categories, and it also includes
support for Publish and Subscribe! Using the new Edition routines
in our Miscellaneous Library, What To Do v1.1 allows you to publish
a To Do list for another What To Do user to see, or to subscribe to
a To Do list that another What To Do user has published. (Of
course, this works best in a multi-user environment, like we have
here at GS+ Magazine :) If you are a programmer interested in
supporting Publish and Subscribe, you'll definitely want to
check out the new What To Do, and the new Miscellaneous Library!
So, if you subscribe to GS+ Magazine, watch your mailbox
for this issue! If you don't subscribe to GS+ Magazine,
send me your e-mail address and I'll send you subscription
information!
