Which GNO/ME and ORCA utils needed...
I'm taking a class this semester that is offering me the opportunity to
do some development on my ol' ][GS, but I've been out of it sooo long that
I'm not sure what I could spend my time on that would be most useful to
the GS community... Any suggestions? I'm thinking along the lines of
a version of LEX for the GS or, maybe, a C++ compiler (BIG maybe since
my time is already strained this semester). The class, by the way, is
compiler design, so anything that does some good parsing of a structure
input file and produces some resulting, usable file would be the general
idea.
I don't have GNO/ME, unfortunately, but I do have a really old version of
ORCA. Is there going to be some problem in writing it under ORCA as far
as portability to GNO (obviously the preferred environment) is concerned?
Will it be GREATLY beneficial to get GNO/ME before starting (like some really
helpful capabilities) and if so, anybody got a copy they want to sell cheap???
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
