The OctoRAM is only DMA compatible if you have no more than 4 SIMMs
installed, i.e. 4 MB using 1 MB SIMMs, or 1 MB using 256 KB SIMMs.

It is probably DMA compatible if you are using a RamFAST and have 8 MB
installed, but that is a feature of the RamFAST, not the OctoRAM.

No IIgs card can be DMA compatible beyond 4 MB (unless you have a
RamFAST).

Pardon? The OctoRAM only uses SIMMs (same type as the Mac Plus/SE, 32
pins, 120 ns or faster, parity not required, must support CAS before
RAS refresh).

All SIMMs must be the same size (256 KB or 1 MB). You can install 1,
2, 4 or 8 SIMMs.

[I've had one of these cards since 1987, apart from a brief period
when I sold it to someone else, and bought it back later.]
