Re(2): LoadRunner - Anybody got it?

It's not a matter of who cares, but what's legal. Copyrights don't vanish when
the publisher goes under or a title goes out of print. I would STRONGLY
suggest contacting the Lost Clssics Project on GEnie for info on how to go
about tracking down copyright holders and how to get permission for
distribution. They've been at this for a long time and have been successful
in getting some formerly commercial programs released as freeware or
shareware.

The problem I have with this topic is where do you draw the line? What it
comes down to is a judgement call, and not everyone will call it the same. In
such cases it's always best to just follow the law in which there's no gray
area. It is illegal to copy material protected by copyright. Period. It's
really that simple.

BTW, this response isn't addressed to anyone in particular, I just picked up
this thread. This topic comes up a LOT on some BBS's, particularly when
emulators are envolved. In some cases the emulators themselves are illegal,
but they also seem to be followed by a glut of pirated software.

Thoughts are free, and worth every cent!
