   And that's what we put up with for a bunch of years until computer
manufacturers got the hint and threw out reconditioned TVs and replaced
them with RGB monitors.

   I think Alltech or some other company was selling at AEW over
a year ago a product that really sharpened up the ouput from a //c
to a monochrome monitor. Anyone ever used this with a color screen
and a non //c? Someone else mentioned a VOC, which is really handy
in its own way, but as it costs as much as or more than a reused
RGB monitor, this might be out of your budget.

   The connector has a few more pins, there are 3 electron guns in
the picture tube (not 1), and the intervening circuitry supports these
rather drastic changes. Other than that, you might be able to salvage
and reuse the case and power supply. :)    (Hint: there's a huge
difference between a TV and a RGB monitor; don't bother changing them)

   You need a special connector card and all to hook up a RGB monitor
to a pre-IIGS, also.
