The Echo Speech synthesizer does use an interface card that must be
plugged into a slot in a //e, ][+, or llgs. Since the llc does
not have slots, it can't be used with it. I have one though, and
although it does not compare with today's Soundblasters etc, it
does a remarkably good job. I am sure you'll have no trouble
selling it. I have the manuals for it as well as software if
anyone is interested.
