Why only a IIe or IIc? The GS is ten times more powerful...I have had
one for seven years and have been very happy with it. In some ways it
is kinda slow at only 3 MHz, but its better than the 1 or maybe 1.5 MHz
of the others.

There are also many awesome garphics and sound (thats what "GS" stands
for) demos available, most of which are amazing and much better than
some early Macs can do. I have dozens of 3200 color graphics! The first
few macs could only handle about 4 and had b/w screens.

Try to find a GS. Pre-owned Electronics sells used ones in very good
condition for about $500 with one meg of RAM. (Tho I doubt it's still
available, my catalog for them advertises a "Holiday Bundle" that
includes a monitor for $700.
