Definitely.  You should also think very carefully before posting a
large amount to the binaries group.  News postings may not cost you
anything, but they have to be paid for by someone.

If these pictures are merely translations to 3200 of GIFs which are
already available, it may be more appropriate to point people to the
source pictures.

Consider uploading them to an FTP site rather than posting to cba2.

Yes, I strongly object to such pictures being posted to cba2.  There
are more appropriate groups for such pictures.

(I have an ulterior motive here: any such postings are likely to cause
c.b.a2 to be unavailable in New Zealand, which would be a very bad thing.
The same may apply in other countries.)

I have no problem with any other pictures being posted to c.b.a2.
