Hard Drive Woes

I just purchased a second hard drive from LaCie for my GS. I have a problem.
My first hard drive come from LRO and is a 52 MEG LPS mechanism.  The new
hard rive is a 230 Meg Quantum mechanism.  I also have a RamFast with the
version 3.00g ROM installed.  For some reason, the ramfast only recognizes
one mechanism at a time, but never both.  If I have the LRO drive off, the
Ramfast does recognize the LaCie drive, but once I turn the LRO drive on
(after powering down the system first) the LaCie drive is not accessable
in the finder or the Ramfast's Utilities.  The order of the drives in the
chain does not matter either.  I bought a Tsunami drive which has two 25
pin connectors instead of the 50 pin centronics.  Does the GS need the
50 pin connectors to function with more than one hard drive??

I had a friend trying to help me on the phone with the RamFast Utilities.
When I go into the SCSIUtilies on the RamFast System menu the Ramfast
card searches the bus for devices and then brings up the partitions of my
LRO drive (unless of course I left it powered down).  It does not bring
up a list of devices to choose.

Furthermore, I was able to install sys 6  on the Tsunami without a problem
as long as the other Hard Drive was off.

I have also tried changing the SCSI ID's, switchng them, making the bootable
device lower and higher than the other.  I have tried terminating neither,
both, and either or without success.

If anyone has a clue to the problem, please let me know.  Thanks Ken
