No, that mostly recent I have seen is 1.8s.  If you can still buy a cache
upgrade if you can locate it with one of the remaining vendors (umm, who? :)
1.5 sounds like a old ROM for 7 KB cache.  The 32 KB cache upgrade would
get you a new ROM.

By hardware, you look at the little oscillator chip on top right corner of
your TWGS.  Devide that number by four and see...  Many software also
tell you the speed of TWGS.  The one most people would have is probably
AppleWorks GS.  Hold down option and select "About..." from the Apple menu.

There are few CDevs.  Also the built-in ROM CDA is the most accessible.
