ROM3 / Windowmanager

I just upgraded my ROM1 board to ROM3 and I got the following strange
problem:
I'm writing a games assistance program for ASL (actually I 'm almost
done, just
testing is left).
One of the windows has a huge resource part (many popups and lot's of
items in
the popups). On ROM1 it was quite fast (I'm using the zip chip with 64k
Cache),
but when I switched to ROM3 it now takes an awful long time to build or
bring the window to the front (using ShowWindow/SelectWindow).
Any suggestion what I could do to speed it up?
