I've talked to Steve briefly about this.  If my memory is correct, he said
that Chris flaked out, joined some rock band or something, and is now gone.

Before Steve was going to graduate and move on to his current job, he wanted
to get the source from the source, Chris, but I got impression from Steve
that Chris wasn't about to give it up, and I don't think Steve would've had
the time to pick up the project.

And DreamGrafix v1.1 was in the works too.  *sigh*
