NEC 3Xe CD-ROM and the IIGS

Hello again! I'm in need of some CD-ROM advice, so I thought I'd go
ahead and post. First of all, I haven't read any of the CD-ROM reader
reviews so these may be slightly annoying questions. I am considering the
NEC 3Xe external CD-ROM reader for my IIGS. I am upgrading to the latest rev.
3.0.e ROM on my RamFAST. Will I be able to use this NEC drive with my IIGS?
Also, in case someone else has this drive...where is the best place to order
it? What's the best available price? I'm basically trying to save the countless
hours meandering through the Computer Shopper. (It's a hernia just to carry 
the monster!) In addition, I'll add that I also plan on using this reader
with a 486 machine...I want a drive that I can switch back and forth between
the two machines. help?
