Apple Thermal Transfer Printer ribbons?

I recently bought a IIe for my kids' school at a garage sale.  It came with
a "Thermal Transfer Printer", Apple Model A9M0306, which I believe was also
called a "Scribe" printer (correct me if I'm wrong).  The printer seems to
work, but I ran out of ribbon after about a page.  Does anyone know of a
source for replacement ribbons?  I found some in Global's catalog, but
they're no longer stocked and couldn't be special-ordered.

I'd also be interested in any other information on this printer (DIP switch
settings, programming sequences, etc.), since it came without a manual.
