This may be a cable problem; I had a professor which owned a
IIGS... He complained that the system booted up with weird
errors sometimes, and would never let him into the Control
Panel.
Turned out he had his keyboard->unit cable crammed between
the desk and the wall. It had shorted out the cable, so
he had to buy a new one.
You may wanna try picking up a new keyboard->unit cable
at a local Apple Dealer (hopefully you live near one? If
you don't, I may be able to send you one), and trying that
out. If it still does the same thing, you may need to
open up your keyboard and re-solder the little ADB connector.
If you wanna check to see if it's the connector itself,
just plug the keyboard cable into the other connector (eg.
if you're right handed, put the mouse on the left side,
and the keyboard cable on the right). If that fixes it,
ti's definitatly the connector.
Besides that, if you don't wanna re-solder it, it's time for
a new keyboard. :-(
