Re: Disk IIc drive belt source?

I suggest that you check the DRIVE SPEED ADJUSTMENT SCREW on the Disk //C
external drive.

The screw is hidden but easily found:

Flip the drive upside down, with the drive's front facing away from you
(cable touches your left belly). The trimmer screw hole is hidden under the
decal. Look for this inscription on the decal: PN 825-0821-A Use a small
screwdriver blade and you will feel a round hole directly below the "25" in
PN 825. When you have felt that hole, then gently poke through the paper decale
decal so that the trimmer hole is opened. Then, using the small screwdriver,
adjust the trimmer pot inside that hole.

Many diagnostic programs are available for speed calibration. I have several
public domain ones ---- send a blank disk and I will put one on for you if
you need a calibration program.
