Opening forked files - how?

I seem to remember seeing a utility for converting a file with a
resource and data fork into two files. Does anybody know its name, and
whether it's on any of the ftp sites? Reason for asking: my brother has
an IBM, and he's interested in examining some Macintosh files. No, I
don't have access to a Mac, only my GS.
