The LaserWriter driver that comes with the system software can do this; if
my memory serves me correctly, you hold down Apple-F while you press the
"Print" button, and all the PostScript commands will be spooled to a file in
the Drivers folder, instead of being sent to a printer.
Presumably you would only want to do this if you don't have a LaserWriter
connected directly to your GS via AppleTalk. Before System 6.0, the
LaserWriter driver would not work without AppleTalk active, so AppleTalk-less
users had to employ the Apple-F mechanism in conjunction with another easter
egg: renaming the driver to "LaserSpooler" (or anything else, I think) would
allow you to use the driver without AppleTalk, either through the Apple-F
spooling mechanism or a direct serial connection to a LaserWriter.
The LaserWriter driver that comes with System 6.0 doesn't care if AppleTalk is
active (regarless of its filename), so if you have 6.0 you may disregard the
last paragraph.
