Using Apple3.5 drive with UniDrive3.5

Having bought a UniDisk 3.5 drive 'bout a month back (oh the
joys of 800K;/) I'm not satisfied with just one. But seeing
My IIc originally cost me $200, and the UniDisk cost me $250,
I'm not about to fork out another $250 or more.
Now the UniDisk 3.5 Interface card (inside the drive case)
actually has space for sockets for a second drive. The
actual drive mechanism is more or less identical to the
Apple3.5 drive (and can be replaced with one-- it works).
I'm thinking that I might add the necessary sockets and
cabling to the UniDisk 3.5 Interface card. As I said before,
this card is inside the UniDisk, and goes between the IIc
cable, and the drive mechanism.
So What I'm wanting to do is buy a cheap 800K Mac/Gs 3.5 drive,
take the mechanism from that (the drive itself--no cable or
interface) and basically plug it into the space space on the
UniDisk Interface for a second drive. Then bung them both in
to an apropriate casing.

Anyone see any possible problems with this? (anyone already done
it?)

If that works, I might lift the 65C02 off the Interface board,
and by mounting it on a 'through pin' daughter-board, add some
SCSI circuitry (and power supply) for adding a SCSI interface
to it. This would also involve writing the in-drive driver for
it. Anyone got any thoughts on this? Also, anyone got any notes
on the memory map of the UniDisk's 65c02 or other useful info?
