Hmm... interesting, as I have discovered my ROM 01 GS allowing me to use
either my internal DataLink 2400 modem or a null modem cable connected
to the modem port without needing to alter the control panel setting at
all.  The applications (ProTERM and METAL) seem to handle determining
which they want on their own, though how I don't knw.

Um, sorry, no direct advice. :-/
