I need help from an AppleWorks guru:
My sister's Apple IIGS is running AppleWorks from a 3.5" disk and
using a 5 1/4" disk for data storage. She got a "Disk Full" error and
formatted a new data floppy, then tried the menu item labelled:
Select Standard Location of Data Disk
The _program_ disk drive light comes on briefly when she hits Return,
but otherwise nothing happens. The program is hung: no other keys
work, including Esc. Inserting and removing floppies does nothing.
She can't move the cursor to any other selection.
Does anyone have any suggestions for how to get out of this?
Unfortunately, she hadn't backed up in over two hours, doesn't have a
copy of the program disk, and can't afford to lose the data. The
machine is still turned on, in the hope that someone has an answer.
Thanks for any constructive suggestions!
