Yes. USB to serial port converters DO work on the PC side. The newest
versions of ADT-Pro seem to have solved the problem that I had earlier
with a specific converter. (I did NOT revert back to the original PC
driver to test that thouroughly.)

The only serial port problem I have had recently was with 13 sector
ADT. That required me to find an old notebook with Win95 and a real
COM port.
