	The source of the problem is the monitor itself. I tried connecting
the 'Monitor ///' up to several different video sources and still get the
condensed 1-scanline display (whether on my Apple ][, ][+, //e or IIGSes).
So now I have two dead pieces of Apple III equippement: Monitor and 5.25 :-)

	Rather than spend the time and money getting it repaired, I think
I may just buy a whole new Apple //e system with an Apple Monitor II (a much
nicer display than the ///, IMO). I know this solution sounds ridiculous, but 
I've seen people selling Apple II systems locally for next to nothing -- the 
real problem is finding a place to store my growing collection of Apple II 
CPUs! ;-)
