Distant cousin of Son of Flame-o-rama

Yikes and gadzooks!!! My job here on campus ( other than being edumacated :)
is working for technical services. Reading about all of the messy-dos computer
problems reminds me of a couple of doosies ;)
A couple of yeas back the school got about 50 new 486 clones... Guess how
many of them worked out of the box? (<20) Guess what company promptly went out of
buisness? Aargh I have also experienced many of the same compatibility woes
that others have had. PCs suck when it comes to compatibility.
Also, comparing clock speeds directly is kinda silly. If the software bogs
down the machine, no amount of speed will help. I put Mathcad on a customers
386 PC a while back and it took over 5 minutes for it to load from the time you
clicked the icon in Win3.0 (there was only 2M in the machine)
My GS hs been a great computer for over 7 years. I and about 3 of my friends
use it constantly for classwork. Heck, I fix PCs for a living, why should I
have to put with 'em at home ?

Now, if only the TurboRez card would come out...
