I resurrected the Apple ][
Well today I finished getting the ][ running. It took another logic board and
some new memory chips and swapping some chips off the first logic board but now
I have a functioning 48K ][. Unfortunately both machines had Applesoft ROMs
on board but I called up Alltech and they're sending me an integer ROM card.
Then I can swap the chips between the board and the card and have a bona fide
][.
It turned out that the first board had something wrong with the video and the
second one had bad memory but I got enough parts to build one good board.
I can also settle the argument whether ProDOS will boot in 48K. I pulled out
my original ProDOS User's Disk with version 1.0.1 and booted it. ProDOS loaded
fine but as you would expect, BASIC would not load and gave an error message.
