	Check out EasyOpen v1.56.  I think you will find that this
does exactly what you want.  The s16/p8 aliases it creates can be
launched from any gs/os launcher too, and they inherit the icon of the
file that they are an alias of.
	It should be available on cco.caltech.edu or your favorite ftp site.
