If they are from Bank St Writer Plus (ProDos), just pretend they are text
files and AppleWorks can load them.
If they are from the older version (DOS 3.3 sortof) then you can use the
utility available by pressing esc during booting.  It has a option to
convert BS files (binary) to text files.   Then copy them from "DOS" disk
to a ProDos disk (using Copy II Plus, System Utilities Disk, or Chameleon.
Then load them into AppleWorks as text files.
You may even be able to skip the BS Utility step.    I don't know.
Try it with a backup copy.
