Hmm. I know that lf2cr worked directly on the file you gave to it,
meaning basically that in case anything goes haywire, you lost your file.
udl, in comparison, uses a temporary file for security. That makes it
a bit slower (it has to copy the file over at the end), but so what
the heck.
