MAGIC NEWS GROUP READER - EXTRA MACRO
Regarding my posting of the problem with long 'From:" lines and the
'by hand' fix -- I've made it more automatic for you with the following
macro. This is for use by MAGIC NEWS GROUP READER and MAGIC NEWS GROUP
ARRANGER owners who read and process their news group messages OFF-LINE.

|C| ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |C|
|R| Sometimes, newsgroup messages arrive at your node with the |R|
|O| 'From:' line being longer than usual. If this happens, it |O|
| | will push your 'Subject:' line from its normal forth line | |
|M| position to the fifth or sixth line. [This has been |M|
|A| happening recently with some of the messages that arrive |A|
|C| from New Zealand.] Of course, THE MAGIC NEWS GROUP READER |C|
|R| will balk - it wants the 'Subject:' line to be in the normal |R|
|O| position. If you use THE MAGIC NEWS GROUP ARRANGER, it will |O|
| | identify these problem messages and give you the opportunity | |
|M| to make a correction - but you still may want to use this |M|
|A| macro technique first. |A|
|C| |C|
|R| This short macro is a special adaptation of a routine found |R|
|O| in THE MAGIC NEWS GROUP ARRANGER. You can use it BEFORE you |O|
| | process your news group messages while off-line and it will | |
|M| identify the problem messages and allow you to make the |M|
|A| corrections by deleting part of the 'From:' line so that the |A|
|C| 'Subject:' line rests in it's normal fourth line position. |C|
|R| |R|
|O| When the action is completed, just use your MAGIC NEWS GROUP |O|
| | READER or MAGIC NEWS GROUP ARRANGER as you normally would. | |
