Re: Grady Ward & csa2: Geraldo and NBC???

In our last episode, grady@netcom.com (Grady Ward) said:

>Andy McFadden seeks to protect the reputation of Matt Deatherage
>who is going to be sentenced next month for sodomizing a boy of fourteen.

I would ask that you then continue to post details of every case involving
sex with minors, or any sex offence at all (if you choose) to this and
similar newsgroups. Since this is wholly inappropriate, your net access
should then shortly be removed. However, since you seem to feel morally
obliged to inform us of every single such instance, this is your only
defensible course (and no one but you put yourself in such an absurd
situation).

Alternately, you could perhaps twig on the word "apple" in the Newsgroups:
line and post details of any felony trial involving past or present
employees of Apple. Again, this should be sufficiently ridiculous that
netcom would (hopefully) remove your account.

Or, you could start a cfv for comp.sys.apple2.cases.sex-offence, where
this would presumably be appropriate (if still unnecessary and in poor
taste). You may want to read the guidelines for a successful vote-for-
newgroup several times, or until the reality of our lack of interest sinks
in, whichever comes first.

Your posting was not "fair comment", and had no reason whatsoever for
existing. You could have posted it to alt.sex.intergen where it would
have at least fit in, though that's not a particularly *good* reason for
its existence (most of the material there appears to be reasonably good
discussion on the topic, none of which I've seen from you). Regardless
of what Andy was trying to do, you sought solely to defame someone -
your post simply wasn't useful in any other way. "Free speech" implies
the brains to know when to shut up.
