More PCT help

 More on PC Transporter ...

I've been posting some help wanted on PCT and have gotten some great help. I
have a few more questions.

I finally got the PCT to run on my GS (ROM 01), I ended up with configuring the
PCT software to have a: my Apple 3.5 and c: my hard drive. The hard drive is
actually just using the /AEPC disk copied to a folder. I think I either have
some bad software or something. If I am running GS/OS (6.01) when the computer
boots (RAMFAST) and I click on the STARTAEPC, I cannot go into the control
panel. I get there but the system is locked up. If I boot holding down the #
key corresponsing to the slot (3 for that partition), I can get into the
control panel (while holding down the space bar) and the system IS NOT locked
up. I am wondering if there is some conflict with my setup, software or DOS.

I am currently using IBM personal DOS v 3.30. This is on the /AEPC disk and
the onl thing I can find to work. The manual says MS-DOS will work but I have
tried 5.0 and it won't boot on the 3.5 (a:). If I boot PCT I can get into the
C: then move over to a: I can format a disk using FORMAT a: /S /V but it won't
boot off of this.

I think there is a problem with my config somewhere. I am hoping that someone
will tell me what to look for. It has taken me months to get this far and I am
about to just sling the card out into the street! I have several MS-DOS
formatted disks but none are recognized. I setup a partition on my HD for
MSDOSVOL but I cannot format it. I keep gettting an 'invalid drive spec'
message and I assume this is due to the version of dos I have. FDISK is not on
the disk and I know this is required. How can I get this to boot off of a:?

I tries to but always gives me 'Not a system disk' even though I just formatted
it and COMMAND.COM shows up. Why does GS/OS lock the system when entering the
control panel (the IBM one)? Also, when I try to exit from the C:, I end up
rebooting to get out.

I have my RF is slot 6, PCT in 7, the config software shows a version of V2.00
when the PCT splash screen comes on. I am going back to work to make a few
more system disks. I am hoping I somehow screwed these up but its unlikely.

I have my drives configured to:

	A: Apple 3.5 Drive 1
	B: None
	C: /hard3/AEPC/MSDOSVOL
	D: /hard5/MSDOSVOL

I cannot access D: yet. I have setup a preallocation to about 14megs. I do
think this is due to NOT having FDISK before trying to format it as a system
disk.

One more thing the duo transdrive (5.25) that I have seem to have been the
problem before. I completely took them out of the system and the Apple 3.5 is
NOT hooked directly to the PCT DB19. I don't know if this makes a difference
or not. It said it will try A: then move to C:. The 3.5 is accessed then it
moves to the C: (HD) so I figured its ok.

Please let me know of anything I have done/setup wrong or possible fixes,
especially the DOS and GS/OS, setup you are using if you have the same
equipment. You can email me to keep this off a TOTAL PCT board :)
