Grappler Still Isn't Working... =-/

I finally got the chance to play with my grappler again, but it still isn't
working... I've tried both plugs with my DeskJet (they're wired exactly
the same -- why have two plugs), the plugs are both wired correctly according
to the specs printed in the grappler manual, but still all I get no matter
where I print is "Not Selected".

Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?
