GUI.8BIT

I received a program from cco.caltech.edu called gui.8bit, and found it to be
an interesting Mac-like interface.  However, I saw that under one of the menus,
there was an Apple Inc. copyright.  Is this program public domain?  Has it
recently been released into the public domain?  I'd like to share this program
with my fellow club members but need to make sure it's PD.
