   Um, make sure you have the DMA option OFF if you don't have a DMA compatible
Memory card.  I had this error and found out that I had DMA turned on when
I had a NON-DMA memory card (RamPAK 4GS).  After I got a GSRam+ I turned DMA
on and have had no problems.
