I've got a DeskWriter C.  The Vitesse HP drivers will support color, but you
have to make sure that you have the latest version.  I doubt that HP changed
much command-wise between the 500c & the 550c.

PS.  The only P8 program that I use any more is ProTerm 3.0.  I guess I'm just
WYSIWYG spoiled :)
