Lim Thye Chean (ltchean@iss.nus.sg) screamed from comp.sys.apple2:
: I wished to create a series of animations for GS. I have downloaded the
: fli files, used FliAway to create the flames... then...
: 1) In SuperConvert, what format should I SAVE the converted flames into?
$C0 Screen or APF Format...
Either should work.
: 2) What programs can I use to create the paintworks animation? I have
: DreamGrafix, Platinum Paint 1.0 and DeluxePaint II and can't find anyway
: to create it.
Well, unfortunately there, none of those programs create Paintworks
animation. (DG and PP 1.0 play them... but...)
You'd need either Paintworks Plus/Gold or Platinum Paint 2.0 (which is what
I use) to create the animations. From there you should have all your frames
ordered as "animation.0xx" and put into it's own folder (for safety). You
might want to inspect the frame and see if it's supposed to bounce (play
forwards, backwards, loop) - you may have to duplicate frames in the Finder
or whatnot. Then using PP 2.0, go to "Make Animation", name it, find a frame
in the sequence, and set how many ticks per frame, and you've got your $C2.
