Sure they made pretty good hardware (their nonstandard non DMA compatible IIgs
memory cards notwithstanding) but they turned evil a long time ago. Charging
money for software updates, the 900 number tech support fiasco etc. could
hardly make a fellow have kind thoughts about them. After I replaced my rev A
GS-RAM card, I decided to keep my IIgses completely AE-free. I'd seen some
Mac types bragging about their Microsoft-free machines so I thought AE-free
was something to shoot for.
