Printer problem

I seem to be having a problem with my //e, HP Deskjet 500 and ProTERM 3.1
I'm unable to print using this version of ProTERM. ProTERM 3.1 works
fine on mygs and imagewriter II.ProTERM 2.1 also works just fine with
the //e setup. The program appears to be trying to print but it just
says printing. I can't wee where the problem could be since earlier
versions of ProTERM worked fine with it and the printer has the Epson
ion card. I left a question on Intec}t it
