Status of Edit-16?

What exactly is the status of Edit-16? Lunar Productions took it over
for a while, but they're dead. (RIP, folks). I seem to remember reading
somewher that the author, Bill Tudor, was considering making it shareware
again, or something like that. If so, would it be possible for someone
(aka Brian Tao :) to grab an updated version off GEnie and let us on
the Internet have it?
I did purchase Edit-16 at AEW (RIP, again :) last year, and I'd like to
see it supported and enhanced.
