PCT Ribbon Cable

Can someone take a good look at the ribbon cable coming off the PC Transporter
and tell me if my cable is damaged?  I have been having problems accessing my
Transdrives & Apple 3.5 once its plugged into the DB19 connector on the PCT. 
Well after a close inspection I noticed one of the pins on the end of the cable
(the Female DB19 that actually connects to the drive NOT the PCT) was not
seated.  I pushed it into the slot and then noticed that there is one strand on
the ribbon cable that has no pin on the end.  I may be confusing some here (bad
description here).  Let me try and draw this:

    Last strand of ribbon cable is not connected to anything
    it is just hanging off at the end.

If this helps (I hope) ... Is this supposed to be connected to something?  All
the plugs to the DB19 are filled but perhaps one is to be double plugged? 
Anyone care to pop open their GS and see if this is the problem I've been
having?  If it is supposed to be connected, which pin?
